Something shocking came out, and people are losing their minds over the fact that their entire childhood is lost and they don’t know what to believe anymore.
It turns out the character Hello Kitty is about to celebrate its 50th birthday this year.
Hello Kitty Is Not A Cat, Netizens Shocked
But the shocking revelation is that Hello Kitty is not a cat; she is a British girl, not of Japanese descent.
Hello Kitty first appeared in “Hello Kitty’s Furry Tale Theatre” in 1974 by Sanrio.
Jill Koch, the senior vice president of marketing and brand management at Sanrio told Today on Thursday that, “Hello Kitty is not a cat,” and “she’s actually a little girl.”
Now, when people questioned the features Hello Kitty had, like the whiskers, the tail, and the furry appearance, Jill explained that Hello Kitty sits and walks like a two-legged creature and has a pet cat herself named Charmmy Kitty, and she also has a boyfriend named Dear Daniel.
Hello Kitty is a girl from the London suburbs; she has a twin sister named Mimmy who is her best friend.
Even though people are shocked by this new revelation, creating a bizarre situation, Hello Kitty still remains a fan favourite because of her cute appearance and adorable face.
Enthusiasts who have been fans of the adorable character refuse to accept that she’s a girl and state, in a funny way, that the makers are trying to gaslight them into believing that Hello Kitty is a girl instead.
“She will always be a kitty cat to us,” a user commented.
Another user commented, “Now I’m just finding out she’s got a boyfriend named Dear Daniel! I’m dead”
Another said, “Why is ‘kitty’ in her name if she’s not a cat and also if she was raised in London why does she have an American accent I smell LIES.
