Alvaro Prieto, a Russian-born 18-year-old soccer player, went missing and later perished in a mystery that has finally been solved. Prior to being discovered Monday in Sevilla wedged between two rail cars, his whereabouts had been a mystery for more than five days. He had been missing since the previous Thursday after spending the evening with friends when he was found.
The engineering student suffered an electrical injury while standing atop a train, and after falling into the space between the two carriages, it has been confirmed by law enforcement. Investigators are of the opinion that he passed away the same day he vanished because of the advanced state of rotting of his body.

The young soccer player, Alvaro Prieto a member of the Cordoba FC youth club, had trouble getting on the 7:20 AM train back to Sevilla Santa Justa since his phone’s battery was dead. He made an effort to board the 8:55 AM train, but security personnel forced him to leave since he was missing a ticket.
At around 9:00 AM, Alvaro Prieto was seen on a station surveillance film heading towards Kansas City Avenue. He was last observed around 10:30 AM, according to a middle-aged local woman, around 20 minutes walk from the Santa Justa station.
There was no indication of him despite intensive police efforts, which included using tracking dogs until his body was discovered on Monday during a live broadcast by RTVE. Further complicating matters, the train company said that the particular train had not been in service for a number of weeks.

The authorities then carefully examined CCTV footage from the area surrounding the railway station and discovered a camera at a local petrol station. Alvaro may be seen clutching onto the overhead wires while standing on the train’s roof, getting electrocuted, and then tumbling between the two carriages. These cables shocked the user with a lethal 3,500 volts.
